Salone Satellite 2011- Il Hoon Roh

Salone Satellite in Milan architect and designer Il Hoon Roh presented his work including a fabulous table in which the form find has been done with Rhino Membrane. The work and study of Il Hoon Roh demonstrates how the form find is not limited in the field, much less space.
The compliments Hoon Roh, keep it up.

RhinoMembrane at the IV Latin American Symposium of Tensile Structures

Post from blog.rhino3d.com

The IV Latin American Symposium of Tensile Structures, will be held from April 6 to 8, 2011 in Montevideo, at the University of Architecture - University of the Republic.

This symposium covers topics related to the design, typologies design, project, project methodology, assembly, calculation, acoustics, heat and light, maintenance, materials, costs and sustainability.

Rhino and RhinoMembrane will be part of the lecture "Technology platform based on the Force Density Method and Update Reference Strategy coupled with non-linear stiffness methods" by Prof. Arq. Gerry D'Anza (Italy).

There's also a 3-day "Rhino + RhinoMembrane + ixForten 4000" workshop in the noon during the symposium.

New step by step guide Rhino Membrane

New Rhino Membrane reseller in Sweden

Marine Soft L.A. Swedish company that provides products, training and support for 3D modeling, Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping / concept models with Subtractive Rapid Prototyping (SRP).

TSI become reseller of Scan and Solve

General Description:

Scan&Solve™ for Rhino is a software from Intact Solutions that completely automates basic structural simulation of Rhino solids. Unlike other analysis tools, no preprocessing (meshing, simplification, healing, translating, etc.) is needed.

More details on technology:

Scan&Solve™ is built on a patented meshfree technology that liberates Finite Element Analysis (FEA) from the dependence on and limitations of meshing. The salient feature of the technology is separate handling and controls of geometric and physical computational models that are seamlessly combined at solution run time. The advantages of this approach include unprecedented flexibility in handling geometric errors, small features, complex boundary conditions, and interfaces, while maintaining most of the benefits of classical finite element analysis.

How to use:

In Rhino, simply:

  • Select the material (standard or custom)
  • Apply the restraints
  • Apply the loads (boundary, body, torques)
  • Click Go
  • View the results (strength, stresses, deformations)
  • Click Report to generate web-ready reports
  • Click Bake to save the deformed shape

Demostration ixForTen 4000 "IV Simposio Lainoamericano de Tensoestructuras"

Wednesday, April 6 Gerry D'Anza will give a lecture on:
"
Technology platform based on the force density method and Strategy Reference Update together with the rigidity of non-linear methods"

Every day from 14.00 to 19.00 there will be a demonstration IxForTen
